hospital wardrobe

What are you planning on bringing/wearing while in the hospital? Are you just gonna go with the gowns they give you or bring your own?

Re: hospital wardrobe

  • Should my labor go somewhat slow and "normal" (whatever that means) I'm planning on brining my comfy jammies so I can move around nicely, walk the halls, sit on the birthing ball etc.

I just really don't like the wrinkled hospital gowns lol

I still have to buy nursing PJs though for when my peanut arrives! They have some super cute and comfy ones at motherhood :)

  • Last time I wore a knee length black skirt under my hospital gown so I could walk the halls and move around without worrying.  I was much more comfortable than I was just wearing the gown with my first.  I plan on doing the same or similar this time.

  • Last time I just wore the gown. I didn't bleed a lot, so this time I'm packing some dark, comfy clothes that I don't care if they get ruined, but will hopefully help me feel more human. (yoga pants and comfy shirts)

  • Hospital gowns for me. I will bring some nursing pjs and some yoga pants and a top once I feel up to changing.

  • pajama pants and nursing tanks. I like the idea of the black skirt, too.  I have one of those :)

  • I'm wearing a skirt and tank top with a nursing sleep bra while in labor, and I'll bring some pjs and comfy pants for the next couple of days.

  • I'm bringing a thin robe that'll cover the back when wearing the hospital gown. I didn't know the back of the gown would be exposed until I visited my friend who had her LO couple weeks ago.

This is exactly what I did last time and it worked perfectly for me.  At my hospital, wearing your own gown during labor was not an option.  I don't know why you would want to anyway.  They break your water which is totally gross and then you have he baby and bleed like a crazy person.  Neither of those I would like to do while wearing my own clothes.

  • In my room, mainly just the hospital gown bc I don't want my clothes all messed up. But I'm going to bring a loose long sleeve black cardy, black yoga pants, black tank - to wear home and maybe walking around if I must.
