HI ladies! I have a 2month old (9weeks) who is exclusively breastfeeding. I have been pumping every day for over a month now to build a small freezer stock even though I am a SAHM. On Tuesday he started waking up every 2-3 hours to eat during the night where he normally sleeps two 4-5 hour stretches. Wednesday he started nursing 7-10 minutes on each side where normally he would only need 7-10 minutes on one side. Today I went to do my normal pumping session after he had his morning feeding and I only got a few drops when normally I get 4-6oz.I am guessing he just drained me but I am freaked out because this is the first time this has happened. I have an oversupply so to not be able to pump anything is weird to me.
Most likely I know this is just a growth spurt and my body is working to catch up to his changing needs but I wanted to see what others thoughts or hear if others have had the same thing happen. Thanks!
Re: Growth spurt or supply problems
Sounds like a growth spurt to me. Be sure to up your fluid intake to help your body compensate!
It's tiring, but it passes.
It is more than likely a growth spurt. It might take your body a few days to adjust, and by then it will be over lol.
