Parenting after 35

I feel so bad!

We just returned from the pedi's office and got a positive result for blood in Harlow's stool. I feel so bad for me sweet little girl who hardly ever cries and is always so happy even though she obviously doesn't feel well! She's had her share of health issues since day 1 including reflux, and I just want her to be healthy. I really hope once we get all the dairy out of our systems (she's EBF) we'll see some good results. And if there's anyone with some good advice for our situation, I'll sure take it!

Re: I feel so bad!

  • Oh jbell, no advice but next thing to cut out of your diet is soy and eggs and nuts. I don't know if you have read any of my posts, but Ian had blood in stool for over 2 months. I was on a strict diet, but it never helped. That was the reason why we switched to a hypoallergenic formula. No blood in stool anymore.

He was always happy though. I don't think that he felt uncomfortable at all.

ETA: In most cases eliminating dairy and soy in your diet solves the issue, and I hope it goes away soon for you.

  • I hope you're right and that she's not uncomfortable. I hate to think she might be in pain. And I really hope cutting out dairy works because there's soy in EVERYTHING! And I'm already on a gluten free diet because of my own food allergies (wonder where she gets it from???). This is gonna be fun!
