I have to add that you moms of twins are true rock stars. My friend is pregnant with twins and is a few weeks behind me, and she was telling me about how much more stringent her dietary requirements are than mine. She has to eat 3500 calories a day and 175 grams of protein! My jaw DROPPED when she told me about all that. You moms of multiples are the strongest women I know!
congrats! I'm hoping for the same thing next week!
Did they give you the stats on how sure they are? Just curious, my A/S is at around the same time (17 weeks/6 days by one calender).
No stats were given, but we definitely could see the babies' respective parts. The little guy gave us a perfect view The girl wasn't as cooperative at first, but we saw her eventually.
They had recently thought my twins were mono/di based on a previous ultrasound, but since they are boy/girl, it's more clear that they are di/di.

Yeah it's been a different experience to say the least. Not that I have anything to compare it too, but I do get overwhelmed with the eating part. I have days when I am just not hungry but know I need to eat!

it's totally different! with DD I was sick every day, all 9 months and gained 35 lbs. I ate whatever I could. This time I am also sick, eat whatever I can eat, more often then with her, but I'm not gaining weight like I did with her. Those babies take everything you have! The growing pains, all the later pregnancy issues have already started. It's not as bad as it was with DD honestly, but that was an awful pregnancy.

My A/S was at 16 weeks 1 day, so I was worried that we wouldn't be able to tell for sure. I have to say, it was pretty darn obvious! The boy parts and girl parts were very clear, and I would be shocked if anything were to change. If I ever figure out how to PIP from this computer, I'll post their "money shots"!
