DS went on a nursing strike last Wednesday and still has not pulled out of it. I'm pumping for him and doing fine with it, but it's so much extra work! I can sometimes get him to nurse in the middle of the night when he is really tired and kind of out of it. He seems to be impatient while waiting for a letdown and starts crying and throwing himself backwards. What else can I do to help get him back to nursing? We were doing so great for almost 7 months and then for no apparent reason, he just quit!

Re: Help me get this kid back to the breast!
Ok so here's my ideas:
Before you put him at the breast hand express until your letdown happens so that he doesn't have to wait as long.
Make sure whatever bottles you are using have level one nipples on them so that he will really have to work at it to get milk out of them. That way he won't have bottle preference.
Keep offering when he is sleepy and more likely to take it.
