Well it might be an accurate one for some ppl cause it sure works for me. Actually even eating homemade oatmeal cookies works for me but heck what do I know. The old wives tale about heartburn and baby having hair was spot on too

Agreed on both. I was on Rx for the heartburn and LO had a full head of hair!

That is actually true! The same hormones that influence fetal hair growth affect the mother's digestive system in such a way that heartburn is more likely.
It's not true for everyone of course.
OP oatmeal worked for me but not longterm. It's worth a shot!
I had zero heartburn during my pregnancy and my son was born with a full head of hair, like legit needed a haircut so he would still look like a boy....

Yeah, not true for me. I had terrible heartburn that started at 14 weeks and got progressively worse throughout the pregnancy. I ate about 15 Tums a day, was on Zantac, and slept with about 47 pillows to keep somewhat upright, which was the only way I could sleep with the pain. DD was born bald and is still bald at 9 months (see sig).
I think the same goes for oatmeal helping milk supply. True for some, not for others. It didn't have any effect on my supply.

DD1: allergic to eggs & dairy

I've been eating my oatmeal.
I just thought it was weird that she said that to me.
