RP: Help w/ maternity photo shoot outfit

I posted this on Fashion and Beauty but thought I'd see what you ladies thinkI'm having maternity photos done and need some help with my outfit.I want to wear a tight top to show off the bump and loose stuff tends to make me look frumpy. The tight top I have is black, do you think a black top and jeans is to boring for a photo shoot?Do you think I should find a color to wear? If I did the black top and jeans, should I wear brown or black boots?What would be a good color to put my husband in? I figure if I'm in black we could add color with him and I don't want us to be matchy matchy.

Oh how fun! Photo time

Well I haven't done my photos nor will we be doing them as it seems

But one of my best friends did and all she wore was jeans, a black tank top and chucks. It was ADROABLE! Her DH wore jeans and chucks as well and just a nice t-shirt. Can't quite remember if he was in black as well of if there was color to it.

But I have to say the pics turned out awesome and you definitely didn't look at the photos thinking there should be more color. They were very nice, elegant and full of character. So I think sometimes simple is just the way to go.

I agree with bigbear, simple is the way to go for pictures. I think the color of boots depends on the style of the boots and the rest of the outfit. You probably have a hunch which ones look better with the rest of the outfit.

I would probably just tell him to wear any simple shirt that he likes.

When I had my maternity photos done our photographer had DH in a solid shirt, so as long as its not too busy Im sure itll be fine (and they'll turn out awesome either way).

FWIW I wore a sundress with black cowboy boots then changed into jeans and a white top with the boots.

We're having our photo shoot tomorrow, courtesy of my friend's mom, who is a professional photographer. She advised that we wear solid colors. She recommended black and whie shirts or camis for me and something similar for DH. I plan to do some in my maternity jeans and some in a pair of black pants I can still wear. I want some black and white shots, so again, the solid colors would work best for those. Even with color photos, I think solid colors might be the way to go. You don't want to look back in several years and think "What was I thinking when I wore that??" LOL.
