Pregnant after a Loss

Betas slowing down too early!

11dpo - 10

14dpo - 107 - 20 hour double time

17dpo - 292 - 49 hour double time

They are slowing down WAY TOO EARLY! I know it's still within normal range but I'm still freaking out. This is the second time I've been in complete beta hell. I need some reassurance! Anyone else have lowish betas at 4-5 weeks that slowed down?

  • You're still doubling with in the 48-72 hour time frame. I know it's hard not to worry, but try not to. Even though it slowed down, your doubling time is well with in the normal rage.

  • I had the same exact thing happen this pregnancy!!! my draw at 15DPO and 17DPO had a 55 hour doubling time, and my previous beta doubling times were 22 hours. I freaked, and was pretty much crying on the phone with my doctor. He explained to me they weren't concerned (he is pretty honest with me) and that the doubling was STILL 65% in 48 hours which is all they want and look for. They weren't going to do another draw and he said they'd let me do another one. It popped back up to a 33 hour doubling time. I think from the 1st to the 4th draw my total doubling time is 30 something hours. That one 55 hour doubling time make me freak out.

Thank you!!! I hate you had to go through that but glad I'm not the only one! I took the double time from 11 to 17 dpo and it's at 28 so I'm just gonna pretend I didn't go in on 14dpo :)

I'm just freaking out bc last time my betas looked similar and that was my trisomy mmc at 10 weeks :(

  • I think that's still a GREAT time.  I wouldn't worry unless they weren't doubling at all.  They are and thats all that matters.

Also, I think its a problem (possibly ectoptic) if they rise too quickly.  I think 49hours sounds perfect!  FX!

  • FX that your numbers continue to go up and up and that your lo stays put!!!!
  • I just wanted to pop in and say that I'm wishing you lots of doubling dust!  And also I heard from my doctor that you just want a doubling time of 72 hours or less, and 49 is WAY better than that.  Try not to compare the doubling times, I think it will just freak you out.  That's probably why my doctor only did two draws.  But FX for you!
