DD is back on Amoxicilan for really bad chest congestion. She was on Amoxicilan for an ear infection around Thanksgiving and we had to take her off before the 10 days since it gave her a severe yeasty diaper rash. I know that diaper rash is a side effect, but this was nasty and had to be treated with nystatin The Dr suggested a pro-biotic for the next time she is put on an antibiotic. So yesterday when we were in the office we saw the nurse practitioner and she prescribed amoxicilan, I asked about the pro-biotic. She lowered the strength and gave me a coupon for a drink mix and kinda steered me away from giving DD yogurt.
Does anyone have any other ideas?

Even at only 7 months? NP said she liked to wait to give yogurt when they were 9 months.
Thank you! I think there is one of those in Annapolis, since Timonium is pretty far and I have no clue where a Mom's is.
Dunno if any of these would be close to you but here's a list of the MOM's locations
Here's a list for The Vitamin Shoppe locations too.
If you are in Laurel, MOMs is by Goodwill and Kids First swim place.
DD was just starting solids at 7 months, so we didn't do yogurt then. She was closer to a year. Sorry, I should have remembered that!!
I picked up some Culturelle at CVS, since I couldn't get to The Vitamin Shoppe or Whole Foods this weekend and I wanted to have something on hand in case the rash started earlier than anticipated.
I put one packet in one bottle on Saturday and she ended up a little constipated this morning. So we'll see what tomorrow brings and see if we need to do another packet.
