Sorry to be a PW. I have PCO (no S - although honestly, I'm still a little confused as to exactly what that means) and didn't get AF on my own prior to V's birth. I've been getting my period (not regularly - last cycle was 47 days long and appeared to be anovulatory) since then, and it lasts FOREVER when it comes (12 days or so, blah). I also tend to have random spotting/light bleeding and cramping outside of AF, for up to 10 days, not necessarily consecutive, in any given cycle. Does/did anyone else experience this? Is it PCOS related? TIA for any input.

Re: Constant Spotting/Bleeding 7+ months postpartum?
Hi - I don't post here often but had a similar situation so thought I'd reply. I don't have PCOS, just very mild endo which was found during my c-section. My pp bleeding lasted so long that my OB put me on BCP to try to control it. Even on BCP, I was having a combo of at least 14-21 days per cycle of bleeding/spotting. I must have gone on at least 4 different pills trying to control it. I also had ultrasounds, another HSG, bloodwork, etc. and they could not fiind the reason for it. Finally I went on one of the highest dose BCP (Ovcon 50) and it finally seems to be under control. Without BCP, my cycles are long and involve a ton of bleeding, spotting and cramping throughout the month. It's so frustrating that they can't find a reason for it.
Sorry that probably doesn't help you too much, but hopefully someone else will have better advice!
Thanks for your reply :-) I was actually contemplating asking my OB about some type of BCP to see if that might help. I was on BCP forever before we had any idea about our IF issues and I never had any problems with breakthrough bleeding, etc. I've been on the fence about going back on BCP to try to control this because we're technically not TTA in hopes of a miracle bringing us LO #2, but the chances of that happending are slim to none given our dx. Maybe it would make sense to get back on BCP for now because we were planning on going back to the RE in 2012 anyway. Something to consider. Thanks!
