Ok, so now that we've gotten a car seat for my car... LO has hit the height limit already for his infant carrier, although weight wise he is still fine. DH drives a Scion TC. Does anyone have a good recommendation for a car seat for that size vehicle? I ended up with an Evenflo Symphony and there was no way that was going to fit in his. Is there such thing of a convertible car seat coming out like the infant one in order to buckle/unbuckle them?
Re: Carseat for 2 Door Coupe
I feel your pain. It was a total PITA when I had to try and get Evie out of my 2 door Golf from her rear facing, non-infant carrier seat.
I ended up getting a new car...
We have a VW Cabrio and have both a Maxi-Cosi Priori in it and a Combi Coccoro. It's TIGHT and totally awkward to get them in (we have to roll down the back windows sometimes- but they work. I think that DD probably should be turned around in one of them and need to check her weight. Once they are both forward facing I think that Cabrio will once again get more use because then it will be much easier to get them in and out. My neighbor has both of her older boys forward facing in Britax seats in her Mini Cooper, so it definitely gets easier- but now they are supposed to remain rear-facing until at least 2, so it will be a while.
I have read that Britax Marathons can fit in smaller cars too- check car-seat.org - you might be able to search his car and come up w/ some other options.
