adorable baby surprises

This morning I was getting ready for work and Eliza was sitting on my bed with DH. I turn around to face them and my baby starts grinning and CLAPPING! I know it's not a huge deal but it seriously made my day. My baby knows how to clap.

There really wasn't much of a point other than I wanted to express how excited I was about this.

Our DD has just recently started clapping too!! You're right, it's just so adorable. Now she'll even clap back at you when you clap first. And she gets so excited when you say "yay!" when she does something good. They're seriously just the cutest at this age.

I can't wait for clapping! I love how they surprise you with their new talents. All of a sudden one day they are doing something new. I agree that I think this is the best age.

I cant wait for clapping!!! I know the day he sat unassisted I was so happy and told EVERYONE, lol. And in the past 2 days he has started pulling himself up on stuff so what do I do.... Sit and watch him pull on a stack of DVD's cause I think its so cute, Not try and stop him from pulling them on himself or hitting his head, nope I was so excited I jsut watched as he pulled them down onto himself

BAD MOM I know.

Haha! I did something similar the other day. She started pulling herself up in her crib (we have since lowered the mattress) and instead of making her sit down I grabbed my camera that was thankfully right next to me. It's a really cute picture but I was so nervous the whole time because I was taking a picture instead of making her sit. The rail came up to her breastbone so not really too much of a hazzard but enough of one to make me nervous. Still took the pic though.

Yeah! That's awesome... I can't wait for that. Maybe once he starts clapping, he'll stop slapping me instead.

It's actually pretty funny.... in the mornings when I get him out of the crib and lay him on my chest in our bed, he pushes himself up, says, "Heyy...." and then starts slapping my chest or even sometimes my face. He's like, "I'm awake! Pay attention!"

Thats really cute. Did you clap a lot with her before? I don't really clap with my kid, but I am going to start now. W likes to 'click' with his tongue. He will imitate anyone who will do it with him.

Update:

Apparently she's been doing it for a few days now. DH told me last night. Crying Sometimes I really hate being a working mom. I feel like I miss too much.

I try to look at it this way, it's still the first time I am seeing it and it doesn't take away from how amazing it is to see her do new things. I am thankful that I have a great paying job that takes care of our family in these times. *sigh*
