Dr. said to get a flu shot so I followed directions and...
I have felt like complete crap since a few hours after I got it yesterday. I took a nap right after (around 4:30) and woke up gasping for breath because I was so congested. Then the aches settled in and have yet to go away (the congestion was gone when I woke up this morning).
My shoulders and arms are so sore! I know this can happen to anyone, pregnant or not...but it is wretched.
I know I'm being a bit of a baby, but I just want to feel better!!!
Ok, end of my rant...thanks for listening.
Re: Flu Shot
And the medical community always say this is just coincidence, that it has nothing to do with the shot. I don't buy that. I am glad my OB, though recommending it, does not pressure people to get the flu shot.
Hope you feel better soon.
I'm sorry you feel so bad. However, keep in mind that those symptoms, while annoying, are much milder than the actual flu, and will only last a day or 2.
It could be that you also could've developed a cold (which is not caused or protected by the flu shot) and it started manifesting after you got the flu shot.
When I got my flu shot in October, I had a little bit of congestion and a sore arm that resolved within 48 hours. I hope that you feel better soon.

Aw I'm sorry you feel crappy :-(
Given the almost immediate onset, I don't think it's the flu shot but you probably already had a cold. Could be the shot of course, but in that case it should go away pretty soon!
