so today we were going to take our christmas card photo and maybe go see santa. so what did the kiddo do yesterday? face plant off the steps onto the sidewalk and scrape his entire nose in a big way...santa is now postponed until late next week in the hopes that it heals by then (it is REALLY gnarly). as for the christmas picture, well we are dorks, and for two weeks i have been making us costumes from the movie elf for our christmas card so it's not like i can just throw an older picture on the card. ugh. may have to do some serious photoshopping...

If it makes you feel any better, I'm in a somewhat similar situation. My mom and grandmother came last weekend so we could go to Asheville for the weekend. I took our laptop in hopes of having time to make photo books for the grandparents and great-grandparents as well as our Christmas cards, none of which happened. Well, when we got back to my house and were unloading my car, my grandmother put my laptop in my mom's car who lives 3 1/2 hours away. I didn't realize this until she was 30 minutes down the road. Now I can't do Christmas cards since I have nothing to plug our external harddrive into. DS now has a nice red scratch under his eye and a dry, red rash on his cheek and under his mouth. I was hoping it would clear up by this weekend, but that doesn't seem like that is going to happen. Oh well.

well we took our xmas card photo and i think the nose doesn't look too horrible, but i am totally waiting to take him to see santa until next week! :-)
