Mini deep freezers or where do you store your supply

Does any one have a mini deep freezer they can recommend? Or where do you keep your freezer supply? I am just beginning to build a supply and I think I may invest in a mini deep freezer that I can put in basement, our freezer is not that big and already the Milk is taking up a lot of space and I freeze the bags flat? Suggestions?

  • We have this one that we bought when I started really pumping.  We needed a freezer anyways because the one with our fridge is pretty small so we had no room for food in there let alone, frozen milk.

I'm not sure if the price comes up or not in the link (I had to enter my zip) but it was around $200.

What I do now is freeze milk flat in Lansinoh bags and then once a week (or whenever it gets to be too much) I take the milk and put it all in large ziploc bags with the date range written on the outside.  i tried several different plastic containers and bins, but that was getting costly, taking up too much space, and sort of awkward.  The ziploc bags work best for me.

  • We bought a 5.5 cubic foot deep freeze from Walmart, it was $155 I think.  I freeze flat in bags, and I was trying to have my bags in different size bins so it'd be easier to rotate, but I hate it.  I'm going to try PP's idea to bundle them together in Ziplocs.

I store the lansinoh bags using the "gift bag method".  It works great!

I just started to use the gift bag method as well! So far, I only have 1/2 a bag, but I am hoping they will stack well once I start really building a supply.
