I plan to get mine at my next apt. I don't typically get them but I work in a school system so I guess I am better of being safe.

I got mine about 2 months ago. I have never gotten it before but I thought it might be a good idea right now. The flu would be hell without drugs...in fact its hell with drugs! I had no ill effects from it, not even a bruise!

I plan to. Infact I meant to at my first OB appt. but we forgot. Now I have been sick for almost the past month (not with the flu) so I am hoping by next OB appt. I can get it.

Yep! I've gotten one in all 3 pregnancies. I was 11.5 weeks this time, 39 weeks with my 2nd (I got it just before I delivered her) and 12.5 weeks with my first.

It wasnt by choice...the nurse just kinda sprung it on me LOL She walked in and said lift up your sleeve...I was like HUH???

Yes, 7 or 8 weeks. Get it. CDC recommends that all pregnant women get 1.

I got one before we got pregnant. I get mine right away at work because I work at a hospital. I would get one if I hadn't done it already- they are safe during pregnancy.

Nope, not getting it. Cannot make me. My immune system 100% doesn't like it. Every single time that I have gotten one, I have been sicker than a dog for weeks on end. Even to the point where I came down with the measles again a couple of times due to it wiping out my immune system. Supposedly, you can only get measles once, but I've had it now three times now (twice due to the shot). I know that it came from that, because before then, Even my old doctor agreed with it. I was healthy as can be earlier before having it. My doctor can even confirm that as I have gotten one from him, and then another from a different place shortly after leaving his office. You can't tell me that it does not have any live virus in it, because my body tells me otherwise. When I don't get the shot, I usually only get a head cold that lasts for less than a week. Anyways, sorry to spout off about my horror stories from having one.

I agree with this. My sister-in-law is ticked I'm not getting one, but my doctor never suggested I get one either. I've never had one because 99% of everybody I know who gets one ends up getting the flu right after. I'm a very healthy person so I'm not too worried. I know quite a few people who have had babies and not had the flu shot.
