Need Midwife Recommendations

Can anyone recommend a good certified nurse midwife in the area who is willing to do natural homebirths? What are your experiences?

    Evelyn Mulhan used to do homebirths. I don't know if she still does.

    Her license has been suspended.  She is fighting this in court currently.  What area are you in?

    From what I've heard, there are some problems with the homebirth movement and midwives in MD - 4 of the highly recommended midwives' licenses have been suspended and people are fighting this in court. I had a natural birth, but it was at a birth center- Special Beginnings in Arnold, MD.  If you don't want to go that route, I can ask a few of my friends who their midwives were for homebirth and see if they are still practicing.

    Thanks, I will investigate ABC. I've heard good things about Special Beginnings, but I feel that a homebirth would be best for me. If you do find info about any others, please let me know! I'm located in Linthicum, which is south of Balt./northern Anne Arundel.
