To those of you who had to take Zofran in your first trimester, when were you able to stop taking it?  I'm into the 2nd tri now and while I'm a lot better than I was at 7 weeks, I'm still needing Zofran atleast once or twice a day.  My m/s has seemed to come back and now I'm dry heaving as soon as I wake up if I don't take it.  When will all this let up?  I'm starting to worry that I'll be taking it for the rest of my pregnancy!  When did you ladies find you were able to wean off?

Re: Zofran users
Thanks ladies, I have a doc appt tomorrow and was wondering if I need to ask for a refill, and it looks like I should bc it could be a few more weeks of this or longer lol. My goodness nausea go away, your kicking my butt!
During first trimester I took it twice a day. Then I was able to go down to once a day, and now I only take it on an as-needed basis. I still probably take it about twice a week or so.
Still using it, although I feel better. Same thing happened in my last pregnancy. I thought I didn't need it, I let it run out, and then I would spend the next day puking again. I did that a few times, so finally decided that I needed it til the end. I have a few left right now, and I will probably let it run out before I decide if it needs to be refilled again.
My m/s dropped off around 16 weeks, but I still took it maybe once a week.
This week (I'm 19 weeks) I've taken it once and thrown up maybe 3 days out of the week. I was glad to have a break from throwing up, but it was not nearly long enough! I hope this week was just a fluke!
I was taking it since 14 weeks. Now that I am 20 weeks, I am off it. I decided that I would rather be throwing up than be as constipated as I was. The constipation was WAY worse.
Luckily, I'm on day 6 of being off it & no throwing up at all!
Find something that settles your stomach. For me, it's OJ & Apple Sauce.
