I had an emergency c-section in July. My water broke and then I was in labor for 22 hours. During that time, I took an epidural at 3cms. Labor stopped for 12 hours. It started again with pitocin. I pushed for 2 hours, but dd's head was molding to my pelvis and then both our heartrates shot up with each contraction. I also developed a temperture, which made the doctor decide to do a c-section. After the surgery, I was told I was not a candidate for a VBAC.
Has anyone been in a similar position and had a successful VBAC? I am due this July, so babies will be 12 months apart.
Re: Should I get a 2nd opinion?
Not all dr.'s care about the time interval.
But I would ask for a second opinion. Do they know why things happened? Was the baby in a good position?
