Baby Names

Noelle. Only for Christmas babies?

We have decided on Amelia for the first name. We both like Noelle for the middle name, but I am due in early February. What is your thoughts and opinions on this name? I feel it is more of a December baby name and might not be able to get pass that, but if I hear some evidence that suggest otherwise I will feel better about having a February, Amelia Noelle. Smile

Opinions or other suggestions welcome.

  • I love it and do not see any reason not to name a February baby Noelle.

  • Funny that you asked this question. DD2 is Amelia and my husband really wanted Amelia Noelle, but we ended up going with Rae since his mn is Ray and DD1 has my mn.

I love it and I say go for it!

  • I actually prefer this name on babies not born in December. It just seems a little too cheesy to me to name your Christmas baby Noelle, but I'm sure some will disagree.

I went to high school with a Noelle who was born in February and if you both like the name, I think it's silly to cross if off the list just because she won't be a holiday baby.

  • I know a few girls with Noelle as a middle name and they are not xmas babies. If you love it, use it, it's not like anyone ever knows your middle name or your birthday unless they're family!

  • I don't think it matters. You can have a spring baby and call her Autumn or a August baby and name her January. I think Noelle is a good mn.

  • I didn't know baby names were seasonal, especially middle names. I think you're in the clear for using Noelle as a mn.

  • Our daughter's mn is Noelle - born in November but she was due in January! I don't think it matters that she won't be a Christmas baby.

I know a September born in March... that's more "obvious" lol

  • I love Noelle for a first name, and if it were my #1 name I'd use it regardless of when baby was born.

  • Of course it's not--also, since you want to use it as the middle name, any Christmas association should matter even less.

As someone whose birthday is very close to Christmas (the 19th--I turn 25 on Monday!) I am very, very glad that my name has got nothing to do with the holiday. Naming your child Noelle because she was a December baby seems worse to me than using the name at another time of year.

  • Thank you ladies on the insight and giving me a new perspective on this name! I am excited send this one up to the top of my list!
  • I have a friend named Noelle and she was born in February.

DD1 was born in September and her middle name is Noelle because we liked the name and thought it paired well with her first name Aspen. Good Luck!

Aspen Noelle is beautiful! I Also LOVE that you are going to use the name Corinne for a middle name! Also one of my top picks!

  • I prefer it not as a Christmas name, I'm not sold in things like Noelle, Holly etc, being used at Christmas, nice names otherwise though so use it
