Kids Magazines

So we are that aunt and uncle and we always give books at Christmas along with toys.  This year I was thinking of getting magazine subscriptions for the kiddoes since I remember how cool it was getting mail when I was young.  Anyone know of good kid magazines?  Their ages are 3, 5, and 7.  7 is boy the rest are girls.

I was thinking National Geographic for Kids, Highlights, any others ya'll know of?

Re: Kids Magazines

  • Highlights has Book/Sticker thing they advertise with their regular publication - I've been thinking about getting it for Abby. She enjoys the stories in her magazines and looks forward to getting it every month. I think the 7 year old may want something more "grown up" but I don't have a 7 year old!

  • Abby started getting High 5 (the younger version of Higlights) around 3 yo.  She loves it!  She just recently moved up to Highlights this year(at 6 yo), she like is too.  I think HIghlights is still good for the 7 year old boy.  We were also getting National Geographic Kids for a while, she wasn't into it at all, and she loves animals and such.
  • Oh, thanks for the clarification A&J! I looked and Abby gets High 5 (or Five) too. That explains it! Nice to know there's something she can graduate to as well.

  • We quit Kids Natl Geo because it was so heavy on advertising. I'm thinking about getting Rang.er Rick, because I loved it as a kid.
