I have been dealing with this migraine on and off since Sunday night. It's not the worst migraine I have had, but it is a nagging, gnawing pain on the side of my head and I can't function at 100%. Normally I am a runner, but have had to skip my runs because of this. I usually can take 2 Excedrin Migraine and that will knock it out. It's not working this time. Neither is 800mg of Advil. I went into Urgent Care since we had to take DD1 for a sprained ankle anyways and they prescribed me Vicodin-which really hasn't done anything for it other than make me drowsy and nauseated. There has to be SOMETHING that will get rid of this. Any advice? The doctor said it was too late for Immitrex to be effective.

Re: Migraine sufferers..
stop the vicodin and advil...both can cause rebound migraines.
I take maxalt and an aleve. It definately works a LOT better if I get it at the start, but it still helps (and prevents rebounds) if I take it later....
I would talk to your doc and suggest that maybe you are having rebounds and you need something that won't cause the rebounds.....
