Do you get your babysitter dinner if she's going to be at your house before dinnertime until late? My mother always did this so I just assumed this is the norm but really I have no idea. FWIW, we love her as does LO, so I want to keep her happy!
I babysat for years and most of the time was just told to "help yourself." With bigger kids, they'd usually leave me money for pizza and I'd share in on that. Most of the time though with the littles, I'd heat up something frozen and that was totally fine as well. I think that if they're old enough to babysit, they're old enough to use the oven so it's not that big a deal - especially if there are options. Many times I'd also just eat a meal before going to babysit then munch on snacks from their pantry the rest of the night.
generally yes. last time we just had a digorno pizza we cooked when she arrived that her and dd ate. and we always say help yourself to whatever you can find. i know she's made easy mac before too.
i'll usually ask her when setting up the plans if she'll have eaten dinner.
We usually ask if she would like us get her something for dinner. If we are having dinner somewhere nice, say Truluck's, we will bring home dessert for her. We love our sitter and want to keep her happy!

I'm thinking I should get in on this babysitting gig as well. I might be inclined to do it for Truluck's dessert alone.
