Mine's normal but I went to post on MC's wall and she's been converted to the timeline thing. I'm usually the type to embrace change and take advantage of new things but I got scared and didn't post on her wall.

I wonder what it uses as the big ass photo on top? Does it randomly get chosen? I went to another friends page who had timeline and I wasn't as scared. Maybe it's the initial shock?

Did you get the option to chage it? I don't see that.

when I went to MC's page, there was a banner at the top that said "MC has the new timeline profile. Click here to learn more!", so I clicked it and it gave me the option to convert my profile too. Once converted, you get to keep it private for 7 days to fool with it or you can publish it whenever you're ready. I went ahead and published after I set my 'cover image'.

It says that once switch to Timeline you're the only one that sees it that way for 7 days so you can get it set up.

It does look kind of interesting for just your profile page, but I wonder why they'd want to make it so much easier to see posts from 4 years ago? What's the point? I said some stupid crap 4 years ago.

I feel like everything I say on the internet is going to look stupid someday. Yet that doesn't seem to stop me from saying it. So if you can see my annoying dog posts from 2007, and 4 years from now you'll see my annoying baby posts ... so be it.

I do feel like it's too cluttered, but in general I like it. I'm published! Now I'm on a mission for a good Cover Image Wink

I am excited about it. A lot of photographers have had it for a month or so they were accessing it through the backend somehow. I was too lazy to figure it out I figured I would just wait. The rumor was it was supposed to be released about a month ago though.

i'm very ehhh over the timeline. i like the large image and i think some stuff is easier to access but overall timeline is a bit too creeper for me. no way i'll ever convince DH to join FB now!

The only thing that I don't like is that the "wall posts" are on both sides of the timeline. It's just going to take some getting used to but for the most part I really like it.

i remember sometime around 2007-ish, i went through and deleted a lot of wall posts because i was starting a new job and didn't want it all hanging out there (been on FB since 2004). since then, i've gone through and untagged myself from certain photos and really don't actively post things on my own wall. i guess my timeline won't be as cool since i don't share a lot on fb anymore.

yea that's definitely going to take some getting used to. that was my gut reaction too, like it except the alternating timeline posts
