2nd Beta....

in Pregnant after a Loss

I had my 2nd beta drawn today and the results are 516 that's up from 208 on Monday and my progesterone is 13 it drop down from 24.85. I'm pretty upset with my progesterone results. I'm trying to stay postitive but it's so hard. I left a my dr. office a message concerning my results. Hopefully my Ob has a game plan. Please spear some T&P in hope that my levels will not drop anymore. Thanks.

    Your beta's are great!! Don't stress too much over the progesterone.  It goes up and down all throughout the day.  Anything over 9 is not a bad number!! 

    If your OB is worried or you are you can ask about supplements maybe prometrium or something similar, but it is normal for it to fluctuate.

    Sending lots of T&Ps your way.  I think it is totally reasonable to ask to be put on supplements.  Keep us updated.

    Squeee! I just saw yesterday you were ku!! Remember how prog levels vary throughout the day, but maybe your dr will send you straight over for some prometrium. My prog got down to 8.8, and prometrium helped. T&P's hon!

    All of this. Mine went up and down even while I was on progesterone and I never got the "beautiful" numbers I heard from other ppl.

    lots of t&p heading your way.  With the low progesterone, that's something they can fix, so I wouldn't worry too much.  Keep us updated.  Hopefully you hear back soon.  The HCG number's awesome, though!

    Great numbers!  Try not to worry about the progesterone.  My doctor won't even test it but once a week in the beginning because it moves so much and she said it can be deceiving.  They told me anything over 10 is good, so keep staying positive!

    My OB was more concerned with my betas than with my progesterone numbers.  Betas can't be supplemented or changed by medication and progesterone can.  I agree with PP, can't hurt to ask for supplements just in case.  Hugs to you.

    That's a great HCG increase! It is good to be a little alarmed about your progesterone, but like the PP said it can fluctuate, hopefully they can get you on supplements and you can get the numbers back up.
