Cooking whole chicken in crock pot

I think a few of you on here said that you had tried this - how do you do it?

I've never cooked an entire bird before ( Embarrassed ) but I bought one at Costco the other day to try out.

i've only done it once since i just got a crock pot... taste aside. it was fall of the bone tender which made it a big pot of bones + chicken in broth. it was kinda a pain trying to keep all the tiny bones out of our chicken... i think i'm missing something...
