Ultrasound

Do you ask your OB/GYN for an ultrasound or do they schedule when they want to give you one? I hear girls that get u/s every appointment while others only get one or two throughout their entire pregnancy. Not that I want one everytime but I would like to see my baby already. So do you have to ask or no?

    You can ask! Ask for an NT scan. Thats a totally ask-able u/s. Im assuming youre somewhat near 12 weeks if youre a june mama

    My first appointment at 5 weeks, 6 days I asked for one. The second at 10 weeks my doctor just have me one, he does his own u/s in his office.

    It depends on your office. Mine only does an a/s and NT scan. You can an u/s for an complications but they won't give you one just for fun. 

    Also the NT scan is not covered by all insurances and is about $700+ for me. Keep that in mind as well.

    I've had 3 so far, and my next is Jan 4th. I got my 1st one at 4wk 3d because of previous miscarriages. They found a cyst on my ovary, so they did two more (plus my dr wanted to put my mind at ease by seeing the baby grow). I would definitely ask. It's worth a try, and it's so amazing to see that little baby inside of you.
