We were pretty set on Henry Sebastian, but this morning DH asked what I thought about using Sebastian as the first name. What do you think about this name? Is it a mouthful? I am not a nn person (DD is Annabel and goes by Annabel) so not having one is actually a plus for me. Is it a "wussy" name or a "strong" name? I have mixed feelings about using it as the fn...
Re: Sebastian
I really like the name but it is a mouth full for everyday use.
I'm probably the only one that thinks of Cruel Intentions when I see this name.
I think I'm alone here, but I just never cared for this name. It doesn't strike me as very masculine for some reason--however doesn't sound feminine to me either. I think I also have a negative association with it also because the only Sebastian I know goes by the nickname "Sebby" which always makes me want to vomit when I hear it.
I really love Henry as a first name though!
This for me as well. To me, Sebastian sounds like the parents were trying really hard to choose a unique name. Since it's been on the rise lately, I always feel like parents failed at their goal. That may not be accurate, but it's what I always think of
I also think it sounds pretentious.
I like it!
I know one that goes by Sebas

Nope, I think of this, too, followed closely by the Little Mermaid.
I've never been a fan of this name. Like a PP mentioned, it sounds too pretentious to me. I like it better in the middle name spot.
Love it. This is is my hubby's pick - if we have a boy we will probably use this!
It is getting popular though if you are looking for a "different" name.
Nope, that's what I think of ... favorite movie of all time
