What are you looking forward to in the first year?

I personally can't wait until a summer vacation to the beach. We are just going to go to my parents beach house in Delaware, nothing special, but so exciting! I don't care if it takes us 2 hrs to pack up, park, haul our gear to the beach, just for 30 mins until baby has a meltdown and we have to leave. I can't wait to put LOs toes in the water! I mostly can't wait for starting a family vacationing tradition.

This!! I freak out at the thought of me DH and DS going on a family trip to the beach...I literally get so excited I squeal. Also DH and I have only taken one trip since we've been together (8 years!!) and I sort of feel like now that we're a family we have to go on family vacations. I'm already planning a trip to Canada!!

We're planning on taking him to TN at some point and I can't wait to see his reaction when we put him in real grass for the first time.

I can't wait to take LO to the zoo. to this day I still love the zoo, so I'm starting this one young! lol

I don't know if this sounds corny, but kisses and giggles! For her to smile and giggle when she recognizes me or DH.

And to take her to MY family's house for our annual christmas eve party. Last year was his family's turn to have us for Christmas eve and this year we aren't traveling the 7 hours north Sad I'm pretty sure his mom is going to be wicked jealous that she's going to spend her first christmas with my family, but they're getting two in a row (they're visiting us at christmas, but my parents couldn't make the trip this year). Hee hee. There's no way anyone can argue it next year Big Smile

I'm looking forward to taking him to Cincinnatti for one of the holidays next year to visit DH's family. My own family is already planning on visiting once a month as they live 3 hours away but it's the first grandbaby. I grew up at the beach and will get to introduce him to it when we visit my parents, but I'm more looking forward to the trip to see DH's mother in OH.

Traditionally my family and I go somewhere each summer typically the beach so I cant wait to take her as well. Maybe even take her to the park, children's museum, and playdates with her cousins.

I'm actually really looking forward to the baby's baptism. It'll probably be in May, and it makes me so happy thinking about how I want it to be. It's like planning a wedding, only smaller.

Mmm, the beach would be lovely, just the three of us. Maybe we'll head to Charleston/Mt. Pleasant this spring/summer. Also, looking forward to laughing baby and joint attention moments.
