4. Monday confession? I fell this weekend & now my stomach is kinda achy after lunch & i'm super paranoid & wondering if I should call teh midwife, but I know deep down I'm fine, having a drama queen moment.

9. What is your thought on visitors in the hospital? -MrsEditorJax They can't be sick, no young kids (daycare germs), and I'd better know them pretty darn well. Otherwise I don't mind.

1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains? will be 30. Lots of lower crotch pain after walking, doing too much.
2. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment? 23rd, regular check up
3. What are you looking forward to this week? girls night at my house, quiet weekend with my boys.
4. Monday confession? i am planning on running errands as soon as D gets home. by myself.
5. What major items are "must-have" for day-one of baby? i.e. strollers, high chairs are *not*, carseat *is*. -jennlin safe place to sleep, swaddles, car seat. I love long sleeve onsies, makes it easy for changing and keeping cozy.

30. nothing new. sometimes baby does a little twisty thing, and i think he's in there "wrong" and it stretches and hurts a little bit..but not super painful.

Pregnant Questions
1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains? Wk. 16, feeling pretty good besides the occasional horrid hormone headache.
2. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment? Today! Find out when we can schedule the A/S.
3. What are you looking forward to this week? Taking DH to see Taj Mahal at Jazz Alley for his B-day on Sat.
4. Monday confession? I bailed on my cousins cookie party yesterday. I've been overwhelmed at work, and my house was a disaster and the thought of going grocery shopping, baking 5 doz. cookies, then going to the party was too much for me. I lied and said I had a migraine. My Mom took Lucy and went.
5. What major items are "must-have" for day-one of baby? i.e. strollers, high chairs are *not*, carseat *is*. -jennlin Diapers, wipes, clothes, a place to sleep and carseat if you're looking for only the necessities. But, there are many things that make life much easier.

I'm exhausted just thinking about it. Any advice is much appreciated! - Lucy is getting a brand new baby doll, with cradle, stroller, highchair, etc for Christmas. Also, we've been telling her all along that mama has a baby in her tummy and soon the baby will come home with us. We tell her that baby is going to be her friend and we're all going to take care of baby and love baby. I know she'll have her moments, but I'm not too concerned. She's going to have to adjust at some point.

With DD, we only could agree on a girls name. This time, we've thrown some names out there, but haven't settled on anything for either boy or girl yet. I think we're both waiting until we find out what we're having. We have similar taste and style for names, so I think it will be fine. Sorry though, no tricks for naming.
9. What is your thought on visitors in the hospital? I used my DH and my nurses to my full advantage. We had a lot of visitors, most of whom were very welcome to come in and meet Lucy. However, the ILs were not very respectful of the fact that I'd just had major surgery, was struggling with BF'ing, and that we also wanted time just our little family to get to know each other. I used the nurses to help usher them out when I thought visiting hours should be up for them.

1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains? 20! Nothing new to report.
2. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment? The 14th. Just listen to heartbeat and check in.
3. What are you looking forward to this week? Annual carriage ride in downtown Seattle and Christmas shopping!

carseat, diapers, wipes, easy 1-piece outfit/sleepers. nursing tanks and nursing pads for mom, and big sanitary pads too.

we had none, which is what I wanted. no one was called until baby arrived. it was late when we called and we didn't know if we were headed home the next day so grandparents just met us at home when we got there.

31w4d today! No new aches or pains, per se, but LO is definitely a lot bigger now -- when he/she tries to stretch out, it's really uncomfortable!! Also, I've noticed that if I can find the baby's head or butt, and press on it, I can feel the other end of the baby pressing into me on the other side, haha.

So many things! I'm getting a haircut Thursday, plus the prenatal appt, and then we're flying out to visit the in-laws for Xmas on Friday. Woohoo!

I don't want to even know about anyone being in the waiting room until after the LO's born and we're in recovery. Once we're in Recovery, I'm okay with a few visitors, as long as they don't camp out!

3. What are you looking forward to this week? Being done with Collin's new room and really getting to work on Bean's.
4. Monday confession? I so want to say eff you to my gestational diabetes and eat an entire pie.

What major items are "must-have" for day-one of baby? i.e. strollers, high chairs are *not*, carseat *is*. -jennlin I would actually say having a stroller right away is helpful if you want to go for a short walk around the block or something to get out after having been cooped up in a hospital for so long. Have some formula at home for sure, just in case things don't go as planned with nursing immediately. We learned this the hard way.

As long as I am not in too much pain and as long as we're there long enough that we're not trying to pack up and leave with people there, I don't have a huge problem.

4. Monday confession? I haven't given up coffee at all this pregnancy, last time I restricted it until 2nd tri. There is no way I could do it.

2. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment? Next appt. is this Wednesday. Just a regular check-in but I'm looking forward to sharing with them that we're having boy #2

4. Monday confession? This is so flame-worthy, but part of me wishes I'll get GD so that I'll have to reign in my TERRIBLE eating habits. Apparently I have no will power on my own.

Dd's name was really easy to come up with. ?mertense I suggest dozens of names and DH vetoes all but one. I tell him, that will be the name unless he proposes a suitable other and that usually motivates him to come forward with a few more. We are still struggling with a name for DS#2...but what I learned last time was not to stress about it, it really does come together in the end and you'll find a name you love. That, or I'm always prepared to play the labor card, as in "I just went through all that, so his name WILL BE X."

If the baby is born during the day we will have someone bring DS to meet his brother. Everyone else will come visit at our house. I love visitors (close family and friends) right away so everyone will be welcome.1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains? 17, not really thanks to the chiropractor!
2. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment? Thursday! I am switching midwives and I'm really excited and nervous about it. I think it will be better from the interview and I'm really hoping it lives up to my memories!!

I'm thinking I likely won't want visitors for the first few days or weeks, though. Unless they are dropping off food, doing my dishes, and leaving, as some friends have offered to do!

1. What week are you in? Week 8 Any new aches or pains? I sneezed 2 nights ago and got a stabbing pain in my right ovary. I know it is still enlarged from the IVF, but that kind of thing makes me nervous.
2. When is your next appointment? I have a second ultrasound and my last appointment with the RE on Dec 19 (in a week). Will anything special happen at that appointment? I look forward to seeing my embryo again!

2. What are you looking forward to this week? My family Christmas on Saturday as my Brother & SIL are going interstate next week to be with her family. Also we have my work Christmas party at a winery Saturday night which will be fun.
3. Monday confession? I am sick of my DH being tired all the time. He stays up all hours playing X Box then comes to bed and snores so bad. Last night I told him that he snored so bad & kept me awake constantly so he has offered to sleep on the couch tonight. He DID keep me awake but it wasnt as bad as I made out - I just want an uninterrupted nights sleep tonight

1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains? - 20 weeks. Feeling pretty good still!
2. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment? - The 21st. One week from tomorrow. Anatomy scan! We lied to our families and told them it was the 28th so we could surprise them on Christmas!
3. What are you looking forward to this week? - Being even closer to my anatomy scan!
4. Monday confession? - I just ate 6 Hershey kisses for lunch
5. What major items are "must-have" for day-one of baby? i.e. strollers, high chairs are *not*, carseat *is*. -jennlin - Obviously carseat. Also, somewhere for baby to sleep whether it's a crib or PnP, bouncy seat of some sort to put baby in when you need a break, stroller if you're planning on going out and about. Otherwise you might want some sort of Moby or other carrier. Highchair isn't a necessity until about 6 months.

But we've been casually mentioning "the baby" and using the words "brother" or "sister"
7. If you know what your having will you order a stocking this year or wait just in case you change their name? -cmcmilan - My mom made all of our stockings. So we'll have her make one next year. If I was worried that they would no longer have a matching stocking next Christmas, I would definitely buy one now!
8. 2 + moms how did you and your SO come up with a name? We can only agree on girl names but we found out we are having a boy and can't agree. Any tricks? Dd's name was really easy to come up with. ?mertense - With Jake I mentioned I liked Jake, he agreed, we found out it was a boy, and that was that. If this one is a boy, we already have a name as well. We've had this name picked out as our #2 boy name forever just like Jake. For girl names, I gave DH a list of names I liked and he told me which ones he liked. Then we narrowed it down to 2. Our current problem is that he prefers one over the other and is sorta set on it. Whereas I love the other name and only like the name he is set on.
9. What is your thought on visitors in the hospital? -MrsEditorJax - I don't mind them as long as they know boundaries and when to leave.

2. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment? Not until January, switching to the Swedish Ballard Midwives -- hope I like them!
3. What are you looking forward to this week? Last weekend of shows of the musical I'm in -- it's been fun, but I'm ready to be done so I can relax on the weekends
4. Monday confession? I've been assigned to a really high priority assignment and I made almost no progress on it yesterday bc I was looking at info about midwives online.

1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains? Week 31- everything is great.
2. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment? 12/21- routine visit
3. What are you looking forward to this week? All the time I get to spend looking at my belly. My little girl is a constant mover and I can see her kicking and moving all the time now.
4. Monday confession? I have given up on a good relationship with my brother. I went from trying to work it out to being happy with a 'screw him' attitude. I am now calling him a douche pretty openly at home. :-)

I spilled coffee+soy nog all over my pants at a dr. appt in the afternoon, then attended a committee meeting and still didn't change pants till i put on pajamas before bed... busy and lazy, i guess.
4. Questions for next week?
How much folic acid supplement did your dr. recommend while TTC? Was that the total amount, or in addition to folate (from food)?
My gynco/Obgyn told me to take 400-800 mg/day by supplement, but that 800 was best.
