She's staying for 3.5 weeks. Almost a month. The last couple of visits with her have been better, but that's a lot, right? A month? I foresee getting a lot of work done this month.

My relationship with my MIL has been rocky and improved with DS getting older, but still, far from perfect. I totally sympathize. That is a REALLLLLY long time. Like pp said, my own mother would drive me nuts after that long. Puts my upcoming week long visit into perspective.
Do you trust her to care for the boys? I'd do lots of date nights and fun things with your hubby! And work! Lots of work! Do you have a gym membership? Like to run or punch things? I've found my motivation for these activities goes up when she's around.
As a fellow international MIL holder, I understand the length of the visit. I go crazy after 2 weeks with mine and we have a very good relationship. Most of my problem is the lack of English being spoken. So I send you lots of hugs and good wishes and that time flies by quickly!

I don't think she can physically handle the boys by herself. She definitely couldn't pick them up, and I doubt she'd be able to handle them even without picking them up. But we will be going on a few date nights after they're in bed. I hope, at least! And, yeah, I'll be going to the gym and into my office a lot more for a while.

Holy crap! That's a loooooooong time. We discovered that 4 is the magic number of days we can stand DH's parents without going bonkers. Good luck with all that Feisty. I'd start scoping out places you can runaway and hide now. My place is always open to those needing to flee their ILs.
you can do it Feisty!! Just be sure to keep all sharp or heavy objects out of sight for her and your safety. That's a bit of advice from personal experience.
good luck!

Re: My MIL arrives tonight.
We're going to need one big happy hour to recover from all the ILs coming in.
I'm suddenly really thankful that mine are only here for a week.
Oh, girl.......I have a LOT of sympathy for you!
