So, the boy vs. girl posts has me thinking--for those of you who were charting and know the gender of your baby, does the gender fit with the fact that male sperm are quicker and female sperm are slower? That is, did you BD right on or close to ovulation (boy) or BD a few days before ovulation (girl).
Obviously, those of us who were trying were probably BDing all the time and probably don't really know, but it is still interesting to chat about! We BDed right on the ovulation mark with DS and with this baby, so I think we're having another boy. We'll find out Tuesday!
Re: Curious: Boy or Girl based on when you BDed?

Confirmed GIRL!!!! 11/25/11
we have sex every day so the odds would be higher that we conceived a boy. I actually have no idea when I actually ovulated but I assume that we did have sex on that day. Chart in sig.
Same thing with my other boys too.

We had sex on the day before I ovulated, and I'm having a boy.
I do also wonder about other factors: we used preseed and DH had been taking mens fertility supplements.

This! We went at it like rabbits, and we're having a girl.
But DH is in the military and works with radars, and almost everyone in his work has girls (unless they had a boy before they got there). So they all have this theory that the radar kills off their male swimmers. Strange, but something to think about.
I guess it would depend on how accurately the ovulation date is predicted? It isn't an exact science, but its interesting!
We should predict all the team green genders based on this and see if we are right in the end. Lol. Above poster, two days before ovulation... I will guess you are having a girl.
Wow! That's interesting too! I guess there are so many outside factors that making guesses based on BD is just as 50/50 as any other way of guessing, but they're all fun to try. Next we'll be getting out a ring and some string and holding it over our bellies.

So, the Shettles theory is null and void. There, in theory, should have been a mix of both slow moving girl sperm and fast moving boy sperm.

This sounds pretty much like me, though maybe DH wasn't *quite* as lucky with our frequency. So I'm thinking Shettles is out for us!
What's preseed?
I don't know what we're having yet, but used cervical mucous as my ovulation indicator and we BD'd on that day and 3 other times within a 5-day period. We were tired. lol I hope it's a boy!
Only on ovulation day and he is a BOY.
With DS we bd'd every day from when my fertility monitor gave went to fertile until after OP sticks confirmed I ovulated. I had a boy.
With this one, we BDed once about 2 or 3 days before ovulation and it's a girl.

We don't know the sex yet, but based on that theory it should be a girl (we had sex on CD15 and 16 and I ovulated on CD18 - I just went and looked at my chart haha.) We'll see what the baby is and how true that theory is for us on Monday!
