We have been using a permanent marker and tape, but they don't wash well and some items don't have a big enough tag to write on. Any suggestions for good labels that can go through the wash?

I haven't washed clothes with them yet, but they're doing fantastic on our water bottles & sippies going through the dishwasher multiple times and still looking great and fully sticking.
We still haven't used-up the iron-on labels we bought 3 years ago. Sometimes we use clear packing tape to really attach them to a coat label. In general, they work great.
One thought - we got the one with two lines - so that we have her name and our phone number, in case she gets lost. It's an extra safety thing that I heard from a cop. I suppose a helpful parent could also call if they found a lost mitten, too.

I ordered some labels from Labeldaddy.com.
