We found out today that we were approved to adopt last Friday by the Peruvian authorities. :-)
I really expected to hear about our approval at the same time we were matched with J (and not before), unless J was referred to another family, so this is unexpected news. It's also happy news, because it's a sign that things haven't completely stalled.
Perhaps the most exciting part is that our lawyer asked if they needed us to resubmit our request to parent J, and they said "no, as they?re already working on the case."
Maybe our dreams will come true, and we'll know this January....

Mar '12: Homestudy interrupted by change in Uganda requirements - where do we go from here?
After searching and searching, back with Uganda but with our homestudy agency's program.
Homestudy complete July 19
USCIS I-600A submitted July 20. Biometrics appointments arrived Aug 17; fingerprinted Aug 21; 171H received Sept 25th. On the wait list Oct 1st: #18. By Jan 25th, we're #13!

TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!
Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!
