Daycare holiday gift?

Does anyone get their primary daycare provider a holiday gift? If so, what is an acceptable amount? LO just moved up from the first infant room last week, so I was thinking of just getting the two primary caregivers that he had from July to last week something.

    I still haven't purchased our daycare primary caregivers gift yet. I better get on this. The teacher in A's room is really young (say like 20ish) and so I was thinking something that she could use. I think I decided to go the Target gift card route and some baked cookies.

    Last year we gave A's daycare provider a bag of cookies (I baked them) and a $25 gift card to a nearby restaurant.

    I saw it on the Carter's website under "holiday wear" or something like that.

    DD goes to an in-home DCP, but we're getting her a Dunkin Donuts DC ($25), I'm gonna bake a few cookies (her family is leaving for a cruise this coming weekend) and a bunch of note pads. She writes down DD's daily activity on note pads and I figured this would come in handy since sometimes they are just torn sheets of scrap paper.

    DS goes to an in-home DC and there are 2 DCP's there. I was going to get them each a $25 GC to Target and a tin of fudge that I will make. DH thought that wasn't enough so now instead of the Target GCs, he got them each a $50 GC to a local massage place.

    Awesome! Thanks Ladies for all the suggestions!! I like the baking thing... I can do that for the ladies in his old room AND for the new caregivers - and then do a little extra for the 2 primary ones. I didn't even think of the Target option, but that's a great idea! I don't know them that well as to their interests, but who doesn't love Target?! Stick out tongue
