NBR: Turkey question...

We're having Christmas at our house this year and I'm not sure how big of a turkey to get. My boys don't eat it so it would be for 7 adults and 2 kids. I know they usually say to figure 1 lb./person but that seems like such a small turkey.

I would always estimate a little high- turkey makes great leftovers and you never how many prefer dark vs white etc...

we always but the biggest we can get no matter how many people we have. We had 4 adults and the 2 kids and had a 22lb turkey

We did the turkey for Thanksgiving this year and w/ 16 adults (plus Charlotte) we had a 25# turkey with PLENTY of leftovers for us, plus both Kevin's parents and his brother took some home.

You should have roast beef! Yummmmm... No idea about the weight. I would just get the biggest too.
