J's eyes have been a little goopy the last few days. They're not pink at all. He also has a runny nose and a cough, so I'm wondering if it's related to that? Or do you think it's actually pinkeye?

Re: pinkeye or goopy cold symptom?
It's hard to say. My daughter had pink eye twice and at the beginning, her eyes weren't pink at all. I just knew something was wrong because they were more goopy than normal (and especially in the morning).
J has had a couple of instances where her eyes were really goopy (and even a little irritated/pink'ish), it turned out to be a sinus infection - both times.
The sinus infection goop was coming out of the inside corner of her eye/s, it was kind of snotty (gross), and happened all throughout the day in spurts (not just a crusty eye in the morning). Also, (another gross tidbit) when the doc pressed on her face/sinuses, it kind of oozed a little more.
Ewwwwwwwwwwww. Oh gag. OK, well this is making me feel better about pinkeye but now I'm thinking I should take him in to the pedi.

Warner has had viral pinkeye twice where his eyes didn't get pink at all and weren't super goopy (but still somewhat gross). Apparently (according to our doc), viral pinkeye doesn't make their eyes look as messed up as bacterial pinkeye does.
That said, he has also had an eye infection complete with goop, but no pinkness that was just part of a bad cold.
And this just reminds me that it's been a nice long while since we've had to deal with any gross eye issues. It seemed constant there for awhile!
