Anyone feel like a reintroduction? I don't recognize some people, and I'm sure some don't recognize me. Although SweetHurricane thinks I'm a pw.
I'm MarSam, My LO is W, born on 1/4. I'm in my thirties and live in MI. I'm excited for Christmas and LO's bday.
Re: and you are?
Hello, I am Jcole. I have a bouncy, crawling, clapping sometimes walking little boy. We call him Jay. He was born 1/3. I am in my early twenties and full-time student/stay at home mom.
I am terrified of LO's first bitthday
I'm RedZee. Our DD (S) was born on 1/19. She is a super active, very spirited and fun baby (at least, I'm a big fan). I'm in my early 30s. I finished my PhD (in cognitive neuroscience/speech pathology looking at language in infants and older adults) last year and I've been on the job market - trying to stay in NY and be an academic which is not working so far. In the meantime, I'm a SAHM and DH is a teacher and wrestling coach, which means I'm a single mom until Feb 25.
I wish I had even started planning DD's party.
Hi! I'm MommaJen! I have DS who is 3 1/2 and DD who is going to be 1 on 1/8!! AHHHHHH!! Its coming up so soon!
I used to be very active on here but with working full time and 2 kids it limits my bumping! I try to lurk on you girls all the time though!!
Hi i'm RosieB!! I'm a 26 year old SAHM that lives in Michigan. I have a son named Cooper. He was born on 1/11 by induction. Cooper loves to laugh, toss the ball and go shopping! Cooper started walking at 9 months so he is all over the place. I'm currently trying to get him to talk
I'm AppleMomma, I have a DS who is 2 1/4 years old, and DD will be 1 on 1.11.

I am in my mid-thirtys DS is my one and only. I am ready for his party but not ready for him to be one yet! I am a working mom and Dad is a SAHD.
I'm CaniacMom and my DS, Joshua, was born on 1/3 via scheduled C-Section. He is not walking yet and is not really interested at this moment.
I am 40yo and have one other DS who will be 15 in February. DH & I have been married almost 16 years. We were one & done and then found out I was pregnant with LO when I was 22 weeks along. We both work full-time- he works shift work & I work a traditional 8-5 schedule.
For those who have not heard my 22 week story... I went to the doctor in September of 2010 with bad abdominal pains & because I had suddenly dropped 5-7 pounds without trying. I had been on Nuva-Ring for several years which caused me to skip periods so that did not even concern me. My doctor immediately did a pregnancy test which provided the answer to my woes. She felt my abdomen & listened but would not comment on anything. This was on a Tuesday. My doc was a GYN only- not an OB. She sent me up for bloodwork and came back and told me I was scheduled for an ultra-sound for Thursday morning and should bring DH with me. I was scared to death. I called him and we kept it quiet waiting for ultrasound day. On ultrasound day (they called it a viability scan) we found out that I was 22 weeks pregnant and that it was a boy and was given a due date of 1/10/2011 and most importantly that all was well with baby. At that point that was all the GYN office could do for me.
Now to recap my life from April 2010 (conception) until that moment I found out I was pregnant - I had been on a cruise that June with DH & DS and of course enjoyed my share of adult beverages. I had traveled three weeks straight in July - one of those weeks to Japan - those people serve beer with lunch. I am in sales so beer is just a part of the day. I was tired that third week on the road but did not think about it being anything but jet lag. I am a type II diabetic and had not been a really good girl with that either. Also, I was 39 years old.
So now I am 22 weeks pregnant, do not have an OB and no clue what we are going to do with a new baby. There are two large OB practices in town, one individual and the hospital clinic. I'd had a bad experience with one of the big ones so I tried to get into the other. After 2 weeks of jumping through hoops on paperwork they called me and would not take me as a patient. In the meantime my GYN had referred me to the High-Risk/Maternal Fetal doctors to get that side of my care going. I called the GYN and asked for help with the other OB practices and they finally got me in with the one that I had not wanted to go to but I found out they had changed in the 13 years since I had been there and they turned out ok. Because of my Diabetes and issues with labor and an emergency C-section with older DS it was decided by me/DH/Doctors that a repeat C-Section at 39 weeks would be my best choice. So essentially I had a 17 week pregnancy and walked out with a sweet healthy baby boy.
Hey ladies, I'm Shortstax. My DS was born on 1/16/11. Right now he can give high 5s on command which makes me a proud momma
I'm in my late 20's approaching the 30 horizon soon. I live in Ohio and work in higher education.
What an amazing story. I can't imagine the range of emotions you must of had over just a few days.
Hi all! Good idea!
I'm MrsLynnyD - I'm 31 and JT was born 1/6/11. He has blonde hair, white white skin, and blue eyes. I have brown hair, brown eyes, and olive complexion! Doesn't look like my baby!! But he's smart, like me
I have my MBA (finished when I was 7 months pg) and have been SAHM after a long career in sales. I'll go back when the $$ runs out! I post on here often that I can't stand my DH but in reality I do love him and we are adjusting to life as parents...I'm going to keep him around
I'm pretty much ready to go with the birthday party minus the smash pictures and my practice giant cupcake cake for the party/pictures. I also need favors of some sort - picture frames with smash cake pics if I can find cheapos!! Oh, and an outfit for both me and him. For me - that'll be tough!!!
I know MrsLynnyD, I keep thinking what am I going to wear!?
So nice to see old and new faces, I hope everyone sticks around!!
Hi! I'm MrsH, E was born 1/20 and is somewhat interested in walking but not to crazy about it. Every week or so we'll get a couple steps then wont see her do it again for awhile. She can stay not walking, it's not going to hurt my feelings. She also just learned to clap but can't do so without screaming.
I've been with DH for 4 1/2 years now. I'm almost 23 and he's 28. He's been in the military for almost 10 years now. Our second little turd is due sometime in July (still don't have an exact due date, hopefully Monday, some time late July though). I don't know how I'm going to handle E turning one considering I cried when we bought her last can of formula last night.
Ffejsgirl here, Ffej is my H's name backwards. His brilliant HS buddies still call him that and me Ffej's girl. I'm 27, DH is 30, we've been married 3 years this past July 12th.
We have two kiddos. My hell raising charmer Aiden turns 3 July 21st and Emily will be one on January 28th. She's quickly learning all of her brother's naughty tricks, walking and chatting up a storm. We're TTC #3 now
DH is the project manager of an industrial services division in a medium sized construction company. I am a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit RN. I work full-time weekend night shift, but switching to part-time after the holidays (very pysched about this)
Good to see some more lurkers coming out of the woodwork!
