FFFC-the holiday edition

I have no friggin' clue what to get DH for Christmas.

Sure, I've picked him up a few little things.. a couple of cheap DVDs and a book or two when I need to fill out an Amazon order to get the free shipping.

But..it's getting serious.

I'm about to go look at electric lawn mowers or snow broom thingies.  Both are items he keeps claiming we dont' need.  We have an old school push mower and a shovel... both of which I hate.  So really, these things would be more for me than him.

Re: FFFC-the holiday edition

  • I dont' send Christmas Cards, or New Years Cards or Holiday Cards.  Don't wait for mine or you will be waiting a long time.  It is one way that I cut out my Christmas stress.

Brides, how about something for DH and C to do together?  Like a set of Duplo Legos or building blocks or a train set.

  • What about a shutterfly coffee cup or mousepad or calendar with C's pics? I was boring this year- ties, dress shirt, basketball goal, mousepad with kids pics, movie posters for the media room (darn it- I still need to buy frames. thanks for the reminder).
  • Meh. DH is getting grooming products, black tee shirts and a coffee cup. He likes it that way.
  • In the past I've gotten nice binoculars that are stadium sized.  DH uses them at football games, eagle watching from the car, deer watching from the house, etc. I've also gotten a magazine subscription, National Geographic, Men's Health, etc. Tiger Woods for the PS3 Move, frame with DD pics for his office, one year I got him an an farm, lol, popcorn seasonings (Target had Buffalo wing and Salt and Vinegar).  Golf gift card for 18 holes, one year I got him Sirius Radio for his car. Sometimes I get him fun things like a gift certificate for Paintball since he's hard to buy for too.

  • I, too, am at a loss on what to get DH for Christmas.  I really just don't know.  There's a putter he's been wanting that I would like to get him...but with him getting deployed in june for a year, he's not really going to get to use it all that much.  I just can't think of anything!

  • This sounds cheesey but how about Big Guy/ Little Guy Tee-Shirts.  Only if worn once for blackmail pictures it would so be worth it.

  • What about tickets to something - movie, symphony, concert, museum, that restaurant you've been meaning to try...My DH loves chocolate so I ordered a bunch of valhrona chocolate that we can't find anywhere here.
  • I too am in the same boat. What the heck do I get the guy that has EVERYTHING and hates keep sakes, LOL? He said a few CDs or something. I have one gift and at least 24 more days to figure it out.

  • Me either. I have not bought a single thing and I'm not even motivated to go shopping. Isn't that horrible? Oh well. At least my LO has his gifts :)
