I see you're on this morning, and I remember you flew westjet with your little one.
Am I correct in thinking I can check 3 bags (one for each adult, and one for LO), PLUS gate check our stroller and car seat?
I'm really torn on bringing our expensive stroller, but I think if its gate checked it should be ok. It's just that the carseat can sit in it, and it'll be easier to get B through the airport.
Am I right? Anything else I should know about security or checking things?
TIA!

I'm curious about this too. We are flying Westjet on Monday. I know you can check 2 pieces of baby equipment (car seat + stroller or playpen) but I'm not sure about the extra bag for DS.
I'm planning on bringing 2 bags (one for him and one for me), checking his car seat and bringing his stroller to the gate.
Baby #2 on the way!
I did not bring a bag for LO, so I don't know if that's allowed or not. If you purchased a seat it is - we took him as a free lap child.
We did gate check the stroller and car seat. Everything went great on all four flights - no damage, always waiting for us when we got off.
They wouldn't let me use the Ergo on the plane, so don't even plan on a carrier onboard.
Security was a pain in Calgary, but great in San Francisco. It's just hard to juggle all the stuff and get the car seat and stroller through the xray, while still emptying pockets and taking out the laptop and all the usual stuff. I survived, though, and it was really a good trip. Westjet was pretty easy to deal with - and they gave me stickers for his baby book when I said it was our first flight.

Thanks Token!
I can't find online whether or not a lap child gets a checked bag... I guess probably not. I wonder if we can fit his stuff in with ours. Darn christmas presents! I might call to find out, I just don't want to be on hold for an hour.
