I have completely checked out!

My temp started 2 weeks ago and now that I've trained her, she's doing everything.  I'm not complaining, because now I get to relax throughout the day.  But now I've completely checked out!  I find myself just staring at the computer... not doing anything... just watching the clock, waiting for 530!   UGH I can't wait until I go on maternity leave... in a MONTH!

    I can understand this.  I have checked out of work and class a long time ago.

    Thankfully my last class is tonight (WOO!) and I was getting nervous about work because no one had been hired to take my place... but as of yesterday someone was hired and I begin training them tomorrow!  Thank god because there are some days where I just can't bring myself to go to work and I don't have a choice because there's no one else there to run the site.

    I'm starting to feel like this too...but not by choice! My brain just seems to be shutting down on me. Less than 6 weeks left...hopefully with a few holidays thrown in, it will go fast!

    I've checked out as well.  With the company I work for, this is a really slow time of the year, and I sit and fool around the computer for a large portion of the 40 hrs a week that I work.  It's not that I don't want something to do, but there really isn't anything to do.  I am so bored.

    you are so lucky that your temp is already there and trained. The person who is filling in for me won't start till I'm gone! so now I'm tasked with finishing everything I possibly can, and then putting detailed statuses on EVERYTHING else. ugh!

    BUT. I should be done in two weeks. wheeeee!!! Big Smile

    I wish I could check out more! It's a little hard in my job... But I know as I get closer I'll just slow down a lot more and take on less. Sadly there is no replacement for me, so what I don't get to before maternity leave I'll have to do when I get back.
