Sorry I'm late this month - and I apologize in advance for the funky formatting!
If you're new, let us know the basics - when did you start TTC, what is your diagnosis/suspicion, where are you at in the process/next steps? Please let us know if you have upcoming treatments, so we can check in with you on a more regular basis during that time. Also read this check-in often the first week it is posted so we can answer everyone's questions. (It seems prolonged to have someone ask a question in this post and not have it answered until next month's check-in!) Finally, if you have suggestions about what else should be included in the check-in or changes, throw them out there!

Current status ? IUIs unsuccessful, IVF 1 = c/p, FET = m/c
babyaustin725 (TTC #2 - not preventing since Aug. 2007, actively trying since Jan. 2010)
Diagnosis - None. No testing performed to date.
Current status - Will try 6 cycles of Clomid after the appropriate dose is found. After that, will discuss testing and/or additional treatments.

Diagnosis ? One ovary, MFI
Current status ? One son thanks to IVF! IVF for child # 2 started in October/November.

Only option is IVF/ICIS. Waited several years before treatment because we're OOP.
IVF/ICIS #1 in June 2012 (Protocol: Long Lupron). Stims: 6/17/12, ER: 6/30/12 (6R, 5M, 4F), ET: 7/5/12 (1 4AA embryo transferred, 0 made it to freeze) ~ Beta#1: 7/14/12 - 55, Beta#2: 7/16/12 - 100, Beta#3: 7/18/12 - 199 ~ Limbo for weeks, finally confirmed pregnancy not viable: 8/13/12 ~ D&C: 8/17/12
Varicocele Surgery: October 2012 (long break to wait for results, no change)

1) Where are you at in the process/what is your next step?
We're going to change to the UW clinic for treatments because it's a LOT cheaper. So, now that insurance has been changed, I need to make our first appointment for after the first of the year. Need an initial consultation to help us determine what our next step is to prepare for IVF this summer.
2) What are you doing fun this month that is non-IF related?
Obviously we've got Christmas stuff going on. My BFF is going to visit us from Christmas Eve through the beginning of January. She lives in Virginia and we don't get to see enough of each other. I'm so happy she's coming and we'll just get to talk and hike and do touristy things.
3) Any vents/confessions?
We can afford to do IVF now if we had to, but we're waiting until this summer to give me more time to make a solid impression at my new job and pay off a couple more bills. It will be better for us financially. But I feel really guilty because as long as we have been trying, we should just be going for IVF now! I've definitely learned patience through this process, so I suppose a few more months shouldn't matter.
4) Any questions you'd like to ask the other ladies?
Nope. I'm sure I'll have more once we start seeing an IF doctor again.
1) Where are you at in the process/what is your next step? Prep for TTC began in June, TTC began in September. Previous PCOS dx. Completed: lab work, semen analysis (normal), HSG (normal), genetic testing, AFC, internal ultrasounds. Tried metformin, E2, clomid +1 other hormone, HCG trigger shot. Next step: follow up consult & IF plan creation 12/21.
2) What are you doing fun this month that is non-IF related? Christmas!!
3) Any vents/confessions? Getting the BFNs again and again is so hard for me each cycle...I feel like I should be able to handle it better. Friend got BFP 1st month trying and it was really hard for me to hear...which I feel guilty about.
4) Any questions you'd like to ask the other ladies? Did the HCG trigger shot make you really emotional at the end of the cycle that you used it/beginning of the next cycle?

We're currently doing more testing, hoping to get some answers for our multiple losses. Right now we are waiting for the karyotyping results, and if that and the bloodwork looks ok, we will do another FET probably in March/April. If thinks aren't ok with the karyotype, we will have to reassess.
2) What are you doing fun this month that is non-IF related?
Going to Austria for Christmas!!
3) Any vents/confessions?
I had to step away from the Bump. I couldn't handle other people's BFPs. My very best friend just got a BFP with her FET and I can't even be happy for her. My sadness for me is just overwhelming. Thus the break from TTC and the break from the Bump.

I felt this same way while we were TTC and completely left TB until we started IVF and were going through the process. I just couldn't handle everyone elses BFP's and couldn't bring myself to be happy for everyone else. **Hugs** IF sucks!!
1) Where are you at in the process/what is your next step? We are still not preventing. I have finally been having cycles since August and started charting a couple months ago .. but I haven't detected any ovulation yet. I'm hoping we don't have to do fert. treatments for baby #2, but if we do we will probably start looking more into it this summer.
2) What are you doing fun this month that is non-IF related? Christmas! Nothing super exciting about it except that I got the day off work when I was supposed to be here all day
3) Any vents/confessions? As much as I'd LOVE to get pg without having to do IVF again, trying to go the natural route/charting, etc. is a pain and some days I just want to go straight to IVF so I don't have to keep stressing and having a hidden hope it will happen for us without intervention.
4) Any questions you'd like to ask the other ladies? Has anyone tried "FerilAid" or any other 'natural' supplements that are supposed to boost fertility? I saw this online today and was thinking about trying it and seeing if it seems to do any good ..
1) Where are you at in the process/what is your next step? Started IVF cycle #2 for #2 in early Oct. Converted to an IUI due to a dominate folical. It was a very long shot to get PG due to DH's SA. BFN! Started IVF cycle #3 with BCP on 12/14, starts STIMS on 1/2...
2) What are you doing fun this month that is non-IF related? Not sure, pretty stressed about all the holiday crap going on and
3) Any vents/confessions? I'm not doing well communicated to DH lately...think we need some date nights ASAP!
4) Any questions you'd like to ask the other ladies? Nope, just good luck ladies. It's a long road and we really appreciate how lucky we were with getting PG with 1 IVF cycle last time.
