I love Fair Ridge OB/Gyn. They are located on the Fair Oaks campus. I never have to wait long and the nurses/staff are great (except for the phlebotomist - she isn't very peachy)

greenbriar does not do in office sono's and you dont have one scheduled until 20 weeks for routine. You can get a nuchal screening at 12 weeks which includes a sono, or if you have had any issues, or have a complicated pregnancy or other medical reason, you get them even earlier. I have had 2 loses and get sono's at 8 weeks but they are not done in the office
no sono at Greenbriar. There is a sono place on the first floor of their building. They had difficulties finding DD heartbeat at 14 weeks, but the first floor people were able to find it. DD was hiding behind some belly fat I guess.
Another Greenbriar patient. Love that practice, especially Dr. Shin. Dr. W is a bit old-fashioned, but the Drs. Gopal and Pickford are great. I have delivered two bebes with them. I thought Fair Oaks was great, but I don't really have anything to compare it to.
Fair Ridge has a basic ultrasound machine. They will confirm the pregnancy at 8 weeks, then send you to Gentics and IVF in Fairfax for then NT, then usually Fairfax Radiology for the 20 week.
On a side note - I delivered with Dr Shin (as pp said now at Greenbriar) when she was still with Fair Ridge - I loved her and was sad to see her leave the practice.

Tepeyac Family Center is a great group OBGYN practice - about 6 Drs and they deliver at Fair Oaks. Bedside manner is great, they're natural friendly, and they're familiar with charting so if you do that, it's really great to have a Dr who can read a chart & takes it seriously. They don't do hormonal birth control though so if you need that, perhaps your GP could be back up.
