Question about freezing cookies!

I have to bake a ton of cookies for the cookie exchange at work later this week. I wanted to do it tonight, but I wanted it to stay fresh until Friday. Can I stick them in the freezer after they're baked and cooled or will that ruin them?

Freezing them is fine. My mom has always frozen his Christmas cookies and just gets out a small portion at a time. Then they last a good part of the year.
