Done eating cue?

What does your LO do to show that he/she has finished eating at mealtimes?

If we are spoonfeeding her something, DD pushes away the spoon.

When she is self-feeding, she starts picking up pieces of food and dropping them over the side of the chair with a big smile on her face. I keep trying to teach her "all-done" hand motions, but she prefers the food-on-floor method. It is so annoying!

    My LO does pretty much the same thing. She will toss the food over the side for the dogs, or turn her head away if I am trying to spoon feed her.

    When DS is done he starts getting really distracted.  He will turn his head away, try to grab other things around him, and play with his food.

    Turns her head to the side to avoid the spoon, or just looks at me and shakes her head no with a very serious look on her face if I am encouraging her and she is self-feeding.  At night when she is ready to get into her crib she will shut the book I am reading to her.  I love that!!

    It started off as a cute/not cute kind of thing.  I would take a bite, then show her that I ate it by opening my mouth.  So she would be sly and drop stuff on the floor like I couldn't see her and then open my mouth like, lolz momma I'm totes eating this.  But not so much anymore. heh.

    He does the "SAFE" hand motion like the umpire does in baseball. Or he'll shake his head now. Or he'll start to play with it. It's funny when he flings the shredded mozzarella or the broccoli pieces like a lasso!
