I will obviously not be doing any hardcore exercise for a few more months, but I wanted to start coming up with a PP exercise plan. Has anyone here tried Insanity and if so, what did you honestly think of it?
I am a Beachbody Freak!!!!I?ve done INSANITY, ChaLEAN Extreme (three times), TurboFIRE, RevAbs and toyed with a few other programs. During my pregnancy I?ve mixed workouts from ChaLEAN and TurboFIRE as well as Yoga Booty Ballet: Baby on the Way.INSANITY is just that INSANE!!!I suggest you try a lower level BB product PP.I will begin my PP journey with either Slim in 6, Turbo Jam or Hip Hop Abs before I attack higher level programs like INSANITY, ChaLEAN or TurboFIRE.
Check out Yoga Booty Ballet: Baby on the Way for your pregnancy. At first I thought it was too easy but as my pregnancy progressed I altered my workouts and now at 38 weeks I?m just doing YBB: Baby on the Way and speed walking.
To me TurboFIRE is a more ?total package? program for women. Some call it the female version of INSANITY.Awesome cardio but it focuses on our ?female? muscles that make us tone and sexy. You can also tweek the program for your fitness level. If you?re on a tight budget and can only afford one program I?d go for TurboFIRE.
We personally love Insanity. It would be perfect with a new baby too because you dont have to leave the house and all you need is your body. It would help drop pregnancy weight fast. Check on craigslist and ebay before you pay full price for it. A lot of people will resell it.
I only completed 7 weeks of Insanity but I really liked it and was extremely pleased with the results I saw. I stopped doing it to start a half-marathon training program instead. I lost 10 pounds, mostly in my mid-section, which was exactly what I wanted. I did follow the meal plan as best I could. I really liked the 5-6 small meals a day concept and still do a modified version of that now. I'm looking forward to doing a mixture of Insanity workouts and running after I have my baby in April.
