Trying to Get Pregnant

4 DPO and bleeding/cramping?

Hello all!  I'm new here, and have been reading past posts and didnt see much that helped so I thought i'd see if anyone else experienced this :)

I had Mirena out Sept, TTC, and have had 3 abnormal cycles since.  This past one, i had a 9 day 'period' and on day 9, I started testing for ovulation via OPK.  It was positive. Day 10, positive, Day 11, Positive, Day 12 Positive... but then there was a little bit of blood.... bright red in am... turning to brownish red towards the evening. (hubby and I bd'd 6x the past 4 days...starting the night before day 9's positive, so it could be that too maybe? we're excited haha)  *i don't chart, just started the opk's last month, and last month i didn't O at all....*

I've been abnormal, so I'm not getting hopes up, but has anyone had this and had a BFP?  I'm guessing i'm only 3 or 4 DPO at this point, so i know implantation bleeding is rare/early.  Thank you for any help you have! :)

  • Have you taken a HPT?  My understanding is you can get a pos OPK when in fact you are KU.  Other than that, I have no help.  GL

  • It can take your body a while to "normalize" after being on birth control. Sex can sometimes push old blood (brown) out so it could be irritation. A positive OPK is an LH surge, it doesn't mean you have ovulated and if you are still getting positives, it's possible you haven't ovulated yet. Some people bleed during ovulation.

    Yes, too early.

I have read a few others say implantation bleeding can be 3-12 dpo, is that true?  Assuming my first day testing was truly my first do o'ing?  I haven't been using an opk until now, and then I got 4 days in a row of +'s ?  so i'm just all confused now :)
