Trouble TTC

Did I wet myself? TMI?

Hello Everyone - I experienced something today that I never have before.  For the past 10 days or so, I've been experiencing quite a bit of aches in my left ovary.  It was sometimes sharp and sometimes led to my back.  I was sure it was a cyst.  Well today, I feel alot of pressure while sitting at my desk.  It hurt to the point that I needed to stand up and stretch out.  I was having a hot flash and a pounding headache. I stand up and it felt like I peed my pants.  I go to the bathroom and it's just really wet.  Wet when I wiped, wet when I did a CM check.  It was totally clear.  My headache was gone and my hot flash was done.

So, I have ovulated twice in the past 16 months.  I haven't experienced alot of Watery CM - is that all this was?  What happens when a cyst bursts?  Is that even possible?  I'm sorry for all the questions - it was just so odd and something I'm not used to.

I know, I just need to wait and see what my temp does - but if I didn't ovulate, what was that?  I guess I'm just hoping someone else has gone through something similar.  When I was sitting at my desk, I was contemplating calling my doctor.  I was so sick of the pains.

Re: Did I wet myself? TMI?

  • Okay, doing some googling - if a cyst burst, it would have most likely caused bleeding.

So, it's just my first experience with watery CM?  Gosh, after TTC for 16 months, I am finally getting watery CM?  Ugh, I hate my body.

  • I have never heard of watery CM.  I am sorry you have to go through this.  I would call the RE tomorrow if you have it again.

  • I've had watery CM and felt a little "damp" down there but nothing to the point of thinking I peed myself.  But I will say if you had pain but have only O'd twice in 16 months then yes - it's very possible that what you felt was just some O pain and not a cyst.  I have O pain almost every single cycle but sometimes it's more painful that others.  If you have any more pain, to the point that it interfers with life I'd call your doc.  If not, then I'd just chalk it up to you not being used to/and overly aware of your body ovulating.  **Also, this is just if the wettness you had was just on TP and maybe a little on your panties.  If it was enough to soak through your panties then I might call doc to find out WTF.

  • I get watery CM a lot - especially on Clomid cycles after my HCG shot.  It's weird bc it kind of feels like you peed yourself, but didn't really.  I'd say normal.

  • For me, some cycles are 'juicier' than others. It's not uncommon for me to dash to the bathroom ( if I'm at home) and wipe an enormous amount of wet CM. Feels more like AF blood than pee though. If I'm not at home, I deal with the gross wetness. Sounds normal to me unless it went down your leg or something.

  • I sometimes get ovulation pain and a gush of watery cm, enough that I have to change my underwear (if I have a spare pair handy). However, it's never been accompanied by a headache and hot flash. If I had a pounding headache and hot flash, I would probably call my doctor to be safe.

  • Thanks for all the responses.  It wasn't running down my leg (this cracked me up!) - but I could have used a change of underwear had I been at home.  My temp rose slightly this morning, but not enough to think I may have ovulated.  But, it's still possible.  We will just have to wait and see.  I would agree with another PP - when I wiped it felt like I would have seen blood - just like a AF wipe.  It's odd that I now love that feeling and am so excited.  WTF?

Now if I did O, I need to figure out what to do with my HCG scheduled for the 20th.

How long does your O pain usually last?
