My LO get a lot of mucous with formula... can I replace it with Pedialyte at night? I was told I am able to use Pedialyte by my dr incase of issues with antibiotic, but I didnt know if it was filling enough...
I wouldn't. Pedialyte isn't meant to be nutritious and nourishing - it's just to replace electrolytes and fluids if the baby is dehydrated. If you replace the formula with pedialyte your LO won't be getting enough calories or nutrients.
Pedialyte should only be used in instances such as baby is vomiting or has diarrhea. It isn't meant to replace formula. You can give water at night time like pp mentioned, as long as you make sure your LO gets that extra formula during the day.
