This is probably a google question, but I'd rather ask ya'll. :-) We received a spice rack with 20 different spices for our wedding 5 years ago. Many of which I have never used (nor heard of for that matter). Are these spices still good after 5 years (and unopened) or should I toss them?

They are still good but aren't as potent after 1 year. You'd probably have to use 2 or 3x as much as the recipe calls for so it would taste the same. I'd probably toss them and refill the containers with ones that you actually use.
That was my thought, except this year I almost poisoned everyone with moldy sage. It was probably a year old and had mold in it! So now I check first. An if there is no scent, then it's not worth using, IMO.
